A Favorite Thing & A Journey

As many of you may know one of my very favorite things in the world is reading. I absolutely ADORE reading. I love so much how Bryce loves reading too. We read for at least a little while every night & it is one of my favorite things. We also both aspire to one day have a library, & so we are building up our collection slowly but surely. The problem is that books can REALLY add up when you tear through them as fast as we do, & we are on a budget!

So Friday night for our date night Bryce took me to this GREAT used book store in SLC and I got to pick out two books! It is so fun to be in there, I could have browsed for hours but they close pretty early :(. I finally picked the complete collection of Sherlock Homes & Crime & Punishment. I haven't read either of them (at least not all the Sherlock Homes) so I am SO excited.

After that on Friday night we headed up to Park City to spend the night due to our upcoming journey. (It was so fun that night to hang out with Mitch and Colleen and just play some hearts!) So here is the story of our journey. Earlier in the week our Bishop called Bryce and said, "how would you like to go on a date with your wife on Saturday?" and Bryce said, "I'd like that," and the Bishop said, "perfect! How would you like to pick up our Venture scouts at Moon Lake?" Of course we said yes & it was quite the little drive. We left at 7 in the morning and didn't get home until 4:15. I snapped that picture while we were at the lake, waiting for the boys to appear down the end of their hike. It was a fun time though & a great opportunity to talk to my husband & best friend on the way there & get to know some of the boys & Bishop Butler alot better on the way home. Moon Lake is so pretty! It made me so excited to go camping for Grammy & Grandpa's 50th in a few weeks!
